Special Settings

There are a lot of cases when the group data should be given in a special setting. This could be done by giving the matrix that relates the conventional setting with the non conventional one. The result from the transformation if given as a table which contains the conventional data and the correspondent non conventional one obtained by applying the transformation matrix.

The link Transformation matrix that gives more information about the transformation.

Note that the result contains the transformed conventional data even in the case that the cell changes. No symmetry equivalent elements that could became non equivalent in the new setting are shown, just a message is given which warns you that the matrix you have given changes the cell.

Transformation Matrix

Anywhere a transformation is made of the group generators, general positions or Wyckoff positions, there is a link ``Transformation matrix'' that gives the matrix and its inverse, as well as an explanation on the way the data has been transformed.
